A gift in your will

CIS’ters is very much focused on empowerment – to live life to the full; being able to move forward from an earlier childhood that included sexual abuse, by a member of our immediate or extended family. So, to mention death feels contrary to the normal work we do.

However, it would be wrong of us to ignore the unmistakable reality that we are born, we live and then we die. We know that many other charities have been named as a beneficiary in wills; all worthy causes. We are too.

Donating through your will means that you will be helping and supporting sexual abuse survivors for years to come.  If you want to support CIS’ters in this way, we recommend that you speak to your solicitor about making or changing a will. To designate CIS’ters as a beneficiary, it would be best to specify something along the lines of “CIS’ters, charity number 1123125, or its lawful successor.”
